Classic Aero-TV: PS Engineering’s PAR200 - A Comm/Audio Panel Combo

Reducing Cost By Integrating The Audio Panel, Intercom, And Com Radio...

While at EAA AirVenture 2013, ANN’s News Editor Tom Patton talks with Greg Ledbetter, the Manufacturing Manager of PS Engineering about their PAR 200 Combo Panel. The unique feature of this interview is that it is being recorded through the intercom system of the PAR 200. Ledbetter started off by pointing out the features of what they call the “Intel-a-box.” This automatic squelch allows dissimilar headsets to be used without the requirement to constantly fiddle around with the squelch control.

The PAR 200 truly is a combination of features. In this single unit, you’ll find the audio selector panel, intercom, and a remote control for the communication radio. Of course, in the modern-day cockpit we want all the bells and whistles so Stereo music and Bluetooth connectivity are all part of the package. Ledbetter goes through a demonstration of the various features which included connecting his iPhone for music and to make phone calls. This video provides a thorough demonstration of all the features… It’s fun to watch.
