NTSB To Provide Spanish Language Info

New Spanish-Language Web Site Debuts

In an effort to better serve the public, the National Transportation Safety Board's website now provides Spanish language information about the Safety Board, as well as information about the Board's products and services. "Making this information available in Spanish directly delivers the Safety Board's message to more people so that more lives will be saved," said NTSB Chairman Ellen Engleman Conners.

The multi-lingual information is part of the Safety Board's response to the President's Management Agenda for electronic government -- e-government. The e-government initiative is designed to make better use of information technology (IT) investments in order to improve government services to citizens.

Spanish language information currently available on the website includes the history and mission of the Safety Board, details about the Board's investigative process, information on the Federal Family Assistance Plan for Aviation Disasters, detailed descriptions of the Board's products and services, and contact information for NTSB Headquarters and regional offices.
