Executives at Russia's UTair have not ruled out the possibility
that one of their Mi-8 (file photo of type, below) helicopters was
hit by a missile before it crashed in Sierra Leone Tuesday.
Pravda reports the aircraft went down near Yengema. All 21
passengers and three crew members were killed.
The aircraft was on a mission for the United Nations when it
went down. The 21 passengers reportedly included peacekeepers and
aid workers. It had taken off from Sierre Leone's capital,
Freetown, before it went down in a mountainside forest.
