Embry-Riddle Receives Government Contract For Flight, Security, and Safety Train

The General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University a government-wide contract for flight, security, and safety training. The contract is for five years and allows for four five-year options.

The contract permits any federal agency to purchase Embry-Riddle training-related courses without a full and open competition, a grants process, or any open competition.

"This contract will aid Embry-Riddle's efforts to obtain government-sponsored flight, security, and safety training from the Department of Defense, NASA, the Federal Aviation Administration, and any other federal agency," said Dr. Christina Frederick-Recascino, assistant provost for Research and Graduate Studies at Embry-Riddle.

She adds that all terms and conditions have been finalized, base pricing negotiated, and quantity discounts identified to speed the federal government's procurement process for the university's services.

Although the contract is currently limited to flight, security, and safety, the university may negotiate with the GSA to add other training-related subjects as required.
