DiamondShare Program Expands To New Locations, Announces Member Availability

DiamondShare Makes Modern Aircraft Accessible Through Its Unique New Approach

DiamondShare, the innovative new aviation access program, has placed aircraft at three new locations and indicated they only have one membership position remaining at each due to the popularity of the program. The new locations are Republic Field (KFGR), Farmingdale NY; Essex County Airport (KCDW), Caldwell NJ; and at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (KRDU), Raleigh NC.

Each location has New Diamond DA40 XLT models with all the latest advancements and features including G1000 flight decks with Synthetic Vision, digital autopilots with precision WAAS approach complimented by spacious ergonomic cabins with luxury interiors and appointments. The aircraft are safe, efficient, modern, four-place luxury vehicles that cruise at 170MPH burning only 10 gallons of fuel per hour providing better fuel economy than the typical SUV while leaving the traffic behind and travelling direct for efficient mobility. Each aircraft is shared among a small exclusive group of users providing exceptional access and flexible use.

“DiamondShare is making ownership economics of these modern aircraft more attractive than acquiring older aircraft and providing “owner-like” access to an exclusive group of member pilots to share the costs using this unique concept. The program is gaining serious momentum”, states John Armstrong the program’s founder.

Under the program, costs are shared by two or three "members" who pay a very reasonable fixed monthly “membership” as their cost share to fly the plane. Since most owners use their aircraft less than 100 hours a year, this program helps them to wisely offset their overall investment cost and allows the members to access brand new aircraft with state of the art technology via a fixed budget all without the complications of shared equity partnerships or costly managed fractional programs.

The auto industry has been offering leases for years as a way to make it easier for buyers to access their vehicles. Zipcar created sharing of vehicles that is providing tremendous convenience and value for users. DiamondShare’s unique model is doing something similar for modern aircraft while leaving the downsides behind. The key to DiamondShare’s success seems to be they have an attractive opportunity for both the pilot who wants to own a nice plane and is looking for a way to make the “dollars make sense” and for the pilot who is looking for a way to access a nice plane he can use for overnights, weekends and vacations…in other words, a sensible way to have access to a modern aircraft one can actually use in a meaningful way. Due to the setup and structure of DiamondShare, it is also possible for members to be non-pilots who want a way to have economical access to convenient private air travel.

"This program is the sensible way to own and fly a modern aircraft,” says John Armstrong, who is also the president of Dominion Aircraft Sales. “The current and very attractive 2013 tax incentives will soon expire, so we are hopeful that anyone who is seriously considering purchasing an aircraft will take a look at this option before the clock runs out. In most cases DiamondShare can help buyers qualify for tax deductibility of their purchase and the economics are extremely compelling”.

DiamondShare owners set the policy for access, use and general scheduling of their aircraft. In addition, the owner chooses the number of members so they are able to select their desired economic outcome. Typically, signing two members can cover most of the monthly note on the aircraft and the third covers most of the remaining expenses. Members enjoy access to a new state-of-the-art aircraft shared between only a few pilots for flexible access and plenty of time to use and enjoy the aircraft.
