Details of the shoot down of MH17 are changing rapidly and very few things are known for sure. It appears that flight MH17 was on an approved flight path over Ukraine when it was shot down. Early indications are that Russian backed Ukrainian separatist may have pulled the trigger. However, there is not yet definite proof this is the case.
