Champion Aerobat Flies Solo As Well As Formation Acts

Matt Chapman is one of those guys who is just where he wants to be -- and is living the life most aviators can only dream of. Recognized internationally as an aerobatic pilot who thrills millions of airshow fans each summer, he began flying aerobatics in 1984 and quickly worked his way up to the highest level of competition aerobatics – the Unlimited category. Chapman's resume includes having won one of only five slots on the U.S. Unlimited Men’s Aerobatic Team in 1996 and 1998. .

Cessna 320 Crash Kills NAS Fallon XO, Three Daughters

Cdr. Luther H. Hook III, 44, the Executive Officer for NAS Fallon, was killed Friday when his 1966 C-320 went down about a mile from the Fallon Airport. The aircraft had flown in Fresno, CA, and was carrying Hook's three daughters, Kaitlyn (15); Rachel (12); and Mackenzie (9), who lived in Clovis, CA, with his ex-wife.

Edwards AFB Goes Hollywood

Ironman II Filmed on Location

Scenes from the upcoming movie Ironman II were filmed at Edwards AFB, May 11-13, with the support of about 60 members of 'Team Edwards' taking part as extras and technical advisors. Parts of the first Ironman as well as numerous movies and television shows have also taken advantage of Edwards for filming in the past.

The same could be said now about the $13 billion program to fund the new fleet of presidential helicopters.”
