Appoints Regional Team To Spearhead Growth
Wheels Up, the leading membership-based private aviation company, has announced that it will further expand its West Coast operations, based in Van Nuys, CA, with the addition of Cessna Citation Excel/XLS aircraft to its already established West Coast-based fleet of King Air 350i aircraft. Additionally, Wheels Up has appointed Miles Rogers to the position of Chief Strategy Officer. Rogers will work with Senior Vice President, Andre Hazelwood, to drive the Company’s West Coast business and meet the demand for Wheels Up services in the region. The announcement was made today at the National Business Aviation Association Convention in Orlando, Florida, by Kenny Dichter, Founder and CEO of Wheels Up.
“The West Coast is a perfect corridor for Wheels Up’s ‘mission-appropriate’ aircraft, including our members-only private fleet of King Air 350i and Cessna Citation Excel/XLS,” said Mr. Dichter. “Our aircraft offer superior performance, provide access to more airports and, ultimately, deliver the most efficient and cost beneficial private aviation solution for local and regional flights. With Miles and Andre driving our membership and business development efforts on the West Coast, I have no doubt that Wheels Up will experience rapid growth in this important region.”
Prior to joining Wheels Up, Rogers served as Senior Vice President of Marquis Jet, where he started in 2004 as Director, Sports Marketing. Said Mr. Rogers, “I’m honored and excited to join the Wheels Up Team and have the opportunity to once again work alongside Kenny, who has been a long-term mentor.”
Hazelwood has been with Wheels Up since its inception. In August 2013, he moved to Southern California to launch Wheels Up and its exclusive King Air 350i to the West Coast.
