NBAA Awards 14 Scholarships For Engine, Avionics Training

Maintenance TRACS Program Now In Second Year

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and its Maintenance Committee congratulated 14 recipients of the 2007 Maintenance Technical Reward and Career Scholarship (TRACS) at NBAA's Maintenance Management Conference in San Diego, CA.

The Maintenance TRACS program, currently in its second year, is sponsored by the business aviation industry. Included among the program's supporters are aircraft, engine and avionics manufacturers, maintenance training providers, and industry sponsors, according to an NBAA press release.

The 2007 Maintenance TRACS recipients and their courses are as follows:

  • Sousan Alexander - Honeywell, Inc. TFE 20/40/60 LMM Course
  • Dan Parker - Global Jet Services, AIMM PDP Course
  • Steve Church - CornerStone Strategies, PDP Course
  • Donald Peters - Cessna Citation Initial Maintenance Course
  • Charlene Hall - Honeywell, Inc. SPZ8400/HUD G-IV Avionics Course
  • Louis Duquette - Gulfstream Aerospace G-IV Initial Course
  • Russell Harden - Honeywell, Inc. TFE 20/40/60 LMM Course
  • Amanda Stinson - Cessna Citation 560XL Initial Course
  • Jorge Chipollini - Honeywell, Inc. TFE 20/40/60 LMM Course
  • Michael Parks - Rolls-Royce AE3007 Engine Course
  • Kelly Tuzsynski - Bombardier CL604 Ramp & Transit Course
  • Bryan Dudas - FlightSafety Principles of Troubleshooting Course
  • Ian Rotich - Bombardier Learjet 60 Ramp & Transit Course
  • Jeffrey Hitchcock -  GE CFE 34 Engine Course

The Maintenance Technical Reward and Career Scholarship is open to current and future A&P holders and other individuals interested in developing technical and professional career paths in business aviation maintenance. Award recipients are able to attend model-specific courses at aircraft, engine and avionics training centers.

Sponsors of the Maintenance TRACS program include: Bombardier Aerospace, Cessna Aircraft, CornerStone Strategies, FlightSafety International, GE Engines, Global Jet Services, Gulfstream Aerospace, Honeywell, Inc., Rolls-Royce and Sino Swearingen.

Applications for the 2008 Maintenance TRACS awards will be available in summer 2007. The NBAA also offers several other scholarships to promote professional development and business aviation careers.
