Crazy Horse (2) Joins The Tribe

Stallion 51 Expands

What's a fighter plane without a wingman? Stallion 51 announced last week that Crazy Horse (2) has joined the stable in Kissimmee, Florida. Lee Lauderback and his team are looking forward to having a second P-51 Mustang Trainer to use in their flight training business.

Peter and Richard Lauderback originally restored Crazy Horse (2), formerly named Kentucky Babe, several years ago. Dick Thurman, the former owner, wanted the Mustang and the heritage it represents to reach more people than it would staying in private ownership.

The two Mustangs will be flying until after next year's Gathering of Mustangs and Legends. "The Final Round Up" is scheduled for June 8th to 11th 2006. After the event, Crazy Horse is scheduled to undergo a complete restoration. Crazy Horse (2) will keep the sound of freedom alive while work is underway.

This second Mustang also will help to keep Stallion 51 running at full speed while Crazy Horse is redone. The beautifully shined aircraft reflects the pride and professionalism integral to their operation.
