SUBJECT: Airworthiness Directive 2008-09-09
SUMMARY: We are adopting a
new airworthiness directive (AD) for the products listed above.
This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness
information (MCAI) issued by an aviation authority of another
country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation
The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as: During production
testing of a batch of control cables, cracks inside the cable
terminal were detected. Despite the specified strength at the date
of delivery was achieved, it cannot be excluded that the mechanical
properties of the cable will degrade.
We are issuing this AD to require actions to correct the unsafe
condition on these products.
