Lightspeed Aviation Foundation Announces 2015 Finalists For Pilot’s Choice Award

A Dozen Charities Will Participate In The Grant Program

The Lightspeed Aviation Foundation on Thursday announced the names of 12 charities, selected from hundreds of nominees, as the finalists to participate in the 6th Annual Lightspeed Aviation Foundation Pilots Choice Awards grant program.

The announcement was made at Lakeland FL, at the annual Sun 'n Fun Expo and Fly-In.

The selected charities are as follows: Angel Flight West, Civil Air Patrol, Experience Aviation, JAARS, Miracle Flights for Kids, Missionary Flights International, Mission Aviation Foundation, NTM Aviation, The Ninety-Nines, Patient AirLift Services, Patriots Jet Team Foundation, and Pilots N Paws.

Everyone is invited to support these organizations by voting in the Pilots Choice Awards online. Finalists will receive awards up to $10,000, depending on their final vote ranking. Vote ranking will be published regularly on the Lightspeed Aviation Foundation Facebook page with the final award announcement coming October 16, 2015 from The Flying Aviation Expo in Palm Springs, California.

“By encouraging outreach through our finalists, we have witnessed hundreds of thousands of lives touched through aviation,” says Allan Schrader, Lightspeed Aviation President. We’re excited about the impact each of these organizations are having in their areas of service. Together we will build a better future through aviation.”
