Boeing's John Meersman Named CFO Of Aviall, Inc.

Will Lead Smaller Company's Core Business Operations

Aviall, a provider of new aviation parts and related aftermarket services, has named John Meersman, a veteran finance and business development leader, as its new chief financial officer (CFO).

"John will play a key role in leading Aviall's core business operations and strategic growth initiatives," said Ed Dolanski, president and CEO of Aviall, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company. "We welcome him to our team as we continue to expand our leadership position in the aviation industry."

Meersman was previously the senior director of corporate and strategic development for The Boeing Company where he oversaw the execution of acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments and joint ventures.

Meersman joined Boeing in 1985 and has held positions in Finance, International Business, Contracts, Pricing and Estimating. Meersman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering at Purdue University and a master's degree in business administration at Washington University.

Meersman will report to Dolanski and Kelvin Council, vice president of Finance for Boeing's Commercial Aviation Services unit.
