New Shepard Launch Vehicle Makes Ready for June Flight

Blue Origin LLC, the American privately funded aerospace manufacturer and sub-orbital spaceflight services company headquartered in the Seattle suburb of Kent, WA has announced  its NS-21 mission will lift off from Launch Site One—in Guadalupe Mountains in West Texas—on Saturday, 04 June 2022. Unmanned Rotorcraft In Service With Romanian Border Police

Schiebel’s S-100 CAMCOPTER Supplements Marine Surveillance 

After a series of successful operations in 2021, Romanian border police are once again utilizing Schiebel’s unmanned, S-100 CAMCOPTER to carry out general coast guard functions. The operations—which encompass day-to-day monitoring and surveillance of shipping activity, port security, accident and disaster response, and search-and-rescue operations—commenced in March, 2022 and are scheduled to continue until August. Romanian Border Police carried out 50 missions in the first two months of 2022 operations, during which the S-100 accumulated more than 170 hours.

NTSB Prelim: Blue Side Up Inc Comp Air 8 SS52

The Airplane Impacted Hilly Terrain At An Elevation Of About 5,780 FT MSL

On May 8, 2022, about 1419 mountain daylight time, an amateur-built experimental Comp Air 8 SS52 airplane, N801DT, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Grasmere, Idaho. The pilot and passenger were fatally injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 91 personal flight. The Federal Aviation Administration issued an Alert Notification for the missing airplane after the pilot made a distress call.
