Four To Be Enshrined In NAHF At Ceremony In October

Record Number Of Former Enshrinees Expected To Return For The 'Oscar Night Of Aviation' At The Bell Helicopter Fort Worth Alliance Air Show

On Saturday, October 28, 2017, the National Aviation Hall of Fame (NAHF) will formally enshrine four more outstanding air and space pioneers as the Class of 2017, bringing number of individuals to 237 so honored, to date.   Over a dozen former enshrinees are expected to attend the ceremony, including four who have been selected to each serve in the time-honored role of “Presenter” of an inductee.

Report: Flight Cancellations Down From Previous Year, January 2017

U.S. DOT Releases April 2017 Air Travel Consumer Report

The U.S. Department of Transportation today released its April 2017 Air Travel Consumer Report, compiling air carrier data for the month of February 2017.  The April report contains denied boarding (oversales) data for the October-December 2016 quarter, as airlines report denied boarding numbers by quarter.  Denied boarding numbers for the January-March quarter will be available in the May Air Travel Consumer Report.

"Without that drone we would not have found it and would have just been wandering around the bush."  Source: New Zealand Police Sergeant Chris Turnbull, commenting on the use of a borrowed drone to uncover a hidden crop of about 100 marijuana plants in the Kaingaroa Forest on the North Island. Authorities had first been alerted to the activity on April 7, but were unable to locate the field in the sprawling forest using traditional methods after covering some 11 miles of the forest on foot.
