Well-Known Airshow Performer Died Unexpectedly Of A Heart Attack

An announcement on the Greg Poe Airshows' Twitter site brought very sad news Monday. The well-known airshow performer has passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack.The bio on the Greg Poe Airshows website says that Poe started his flying career at an early age and earned his pilot's license while still a teenager, flying out of the old Strawberry Glen airport along side the Boise River.

G1000 Retrofit Now Available For TBM 700

EASA And FAA Approved; First Delivery To French MoD

Garmin International announced Thursday the delivery of the first DAHER-SOCATA TBM 700 upgraded with the G1000 integrated flight deck. The first delivery went to the French Ministry of Defense (MoD) and is part of a contract to upgrade 27 TBM 700s in service with the French military.

DFC90 Now Available For Cessna 182, As Well As Beach Bonanza And Baron

The potential install base for Avidyne's DFC100 Digital Flight Control System has been expanded to the Piper PA-32 aircraft, and deposits are now being accepted from owners of Entegra-equipped aircraft who want to upgrade to Entegra Release 9 and DFC100. Certification of Entegra Release 9 upgrade for PA-32s and certification of the DFC100 for PA-32s are expected later this year.

One of the quandaries we have in aviation is how make it affordable to the average individual. We could offer them the powered paraglider, but there is little practicality to flying that, except for the pure enjoyment of flight.
