Downing Aviation Associates Offers Its Services To LSA OEMs, Buyers

Aims To Provide Objective Analysis Of Numerous Choices In Market

Regional and business aviation consulting firm Downing Aviation Associates announced Monday it will offer compilations of manufacturers' data and tailored analyses of Light Sport Aircraft (LSA).

The study results are designed to assist OEMs, individuals, training schools, and other businesses seeking impartial comparative information on the broad list of LSAs.

"We put our business experience, technical expertise and resources to work and have meticulously researched and normalized the available data for special light sport aircraft being offered in the market today," said Richard Reuland, Engineering Associate for DAA.

"There are over 80 choices in this sector and we recognize that potential buyers are seeking unbiased, easy to understand, comparative analyses. To facilitate that comparison and offer comprehensive data across the entire segment, we undertook a six month, in-depth review of aircraft currently being delivered and others that are still under development. We combined that data with inputs from focus groups and discussions with OEMs, training schools and individuals, and compiled a matrix that addresses 57 of these aircraft. We will continually update this study as new information and revisions become available."

Reuland added, "For customers considering purchasing light sport aircraft or for OEMs seeking additional marking information, DAA couples its quantitative information with qualitative input the potential purchasers provide by completing simple questionnaires. DAA then provides them with customized and tailored, detailed aircraft-to-aircraft comparison reports, including relative values of the aircraft. We will work with these prospective LSA buyers to put detailed equipment comparisons, tailored to their specific needs, at their fingertips."

Established in 2001, DAA offers  technical, marketing, business and contract management resources to both startup and established aviation firms. Information on how to purchase the LSA comparison listings can be found on the DAA web site.
