Frasca Displays Full-Featured, Avidyne Entegra-Equipped Cirrus SR22 FTD

Entegra System, Dual GPS, Backup Instruments And CAPS Simulator Deliver Added Realism

Frasca International is demonstrating an Avidyne Entegra-equipped Frasca Flight Training Device (FTD) for the Cirrus SR22 at AirVenture 2006.

The Frasca SR22 FTD with Avidyne Entegra features two 10.4-inch diagonal, high-resolution, sunlight-readable displays, including an EXP5000 primary flight display (PFD), an EX5000 multi-function display (MFD) and a GPS. The system uses an FAA-approved flight data package, Jeppesen NavData, full-size flight controls including rudder pedals and brakes, Graphical Instructors Station (GISt), multi-channel sound simulation, and TruVisionTM display system. The system includes backup instruments and a CAPS parachute recovery simulation for added realism.

"Avidyne has played an important role in helping to make the Cirrus SR22 FTD a highly realistic training environment," said John Frasca, Vice President of Frasca International.

"Given the popularity of Entegra and the Cirrus SR22, flight schools will appreciate being able to offer a high-fidelity training environment."

"We continue to work closely with Frasca as they build true-to-life simulators for the best-selling Cirrus aircraft with Entegra integrated flight decks," said Mark Sandeen, Avidyne's vice president of sales and marketing.

"It is part of our strategy to enhance our market growth and leadership by supporting a robust and widely available training infrastructure while improving flying safety."
