FA Arrested For Carrying Handgun Onto Flight

Faces Concealed Weapon Charge

A United Airlines flight attendant was arrested at Dulles International Airport over the weekend for allegedly carrying a concealed handgun aboard a flight from Atlanta.

Janet Tucker, 45, was in her United Airlines uniform, but was not part of the crew on the flight from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, according The Associated Press.

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority spokesperson Rob Yingling said the incident was "inadvertent," based on Tuckers account of events. No statements were available from Tucker, United Airlines nor Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Tucker was charged with having a concealed weapon at the airport, and released with a summons to appear at a future date in Loudoun County Court in Virginia.
