Continental Aerospace Made Their Presence Known At AirVenture 2019
Continental Aerospace came to AirVenture 2019 with the announcement of a new STC allowing the installation of Prime IO-370-DA3A engines into Cessna R and S series C172s. The economical, fuel-injected 4-cylinder power-plant is an economical option to replace the original engine at TBO for 180 horsepower Cessna 172 R & S models.
Chris Kuehn, VP of Sales, Marketing and Customer Support for Continental Aerospace, told Aero-News Editor-in-Chief Jim Campbell that the company has already received a lot of interest in the engine for the Piper Archer series of airplanes, and it took multiple pre-orders from C-172 owners interested in the retrofit.
Continental Aerospace also announced that Cape Air has selected the Continental Fleet Shield Program to manage its piston engine MRO needs for its Cessna 402 twin engine aircraft fleet.
