Pipistrel Displaying Extensive Aircraft Line At AirVenture

Will Include Production Electric Training Aircraft

International aircraft designers and manufacturer Pipistrel, is set to once again “electri-fly” the annual EAA AirVenture Fly-In and Tradeshow in Oshkosh, WI.

Pipistrel will be displaying an extensive selection of aircraft, with a special emphasis on revolutionary, new, electrically-powered, training aircraft, including:

Conventional Aircraft

  • Pipistrel Virus SW, a Two-Place, Rotax-powered High-Wing LSA
  • Pipistrel Sinus FLEX, Multi-Purpose, Two-Place, High Wing, Rotax-Powered LSA
  • Pipistrel ALPHA Trainer, Technologically Advanced Aircraft (TAA) for the flight training markets

Electric Aircraft

  • Pipistrel ALPHA Electro, a Two-Place, High Wing, fully electric aircraft. The first LSA accepted electric aircraft in the world*
  • The Pipistrel 801 eVTOL electric aircraft 50% scale model, a leading contender in the UBER program

AirVenture attendees can also see Riley Speidel’s Pipistrel Sinus that was used by the youngest solo pilot to cross the USA coast-to-coast at age 14. The airplane will be on display at the soaring Society of America site.

Not content to leave interested flyers with inadequate details, Pipistrel has produced, for the first time, a new four-color magazine style format brochure. Greatly detailed, the 32-page publication will be available in print format at the Pipistrel display area at AirVenture, as well as selected Oshkosh locations. It’s also available for download online in digital formats.

On Wednesday July 24 at 5:00 p.m., Pipistrel will host a "Pod-A-Palooza" pizza party at the Pipistrel Booth. Pod-a-Palooza is a celebration for media creators and generators, open to all accredited media, podcasters, podcast listeners, aviators, Pipistrel supporters and any aviation enthusiasts who care to drop by. later that event at the booth, Pipistrel will be giving a special award to 14-year-old Riley Speidel who recently flew solo from California to Maine. Riley is the youngest person to fly solo across continental United States. That award will be presented at 6:30.

On Thursday July 25 FAA administrator, Dan Elwell is scheduled to visit the Pipistrel display at 3:00 p.m. to look at the 50% scale model and discuss the new Pipistrel 801, eVTOL aircraft as part of the FAA innovation tour.

Pipistrel will be conducting several flight demonstrations of its electric aircraft during the Fly-In/Airshow and plans on conducting several aerial displays during the Manufacturer's showcase throughout the week.
