Source: Debra Williams, spokesperson for Air Canada low cost subsidiary Jazz, on its suspension of four mechanics at the airline's Toronto maintenance facility after the mechanics accused Jazz management of forcing technicians to release planes that have known mechanical problems -- problems they say compromise flight safety. In response to the mechanics' claims, Transport Canada says it'll launch an audit into the LCC's mechanical operations within the next 90 days. Williams said Jazz will also investigate the claims.
