Bombardier Holding Advisory Council Meetings With Airline And
Leasing Reps
CSeries aircraft customers and potential customers are being
asked their opinions as Bombardier continues in the development of
its new mainline jet. The planemaker hosted its most recent CSeries
Airline Advisory Council (AAC) meeting in Belfast, Northern Ireland
on March 16 and 17. Another session will be held in April in
Montréal, Québec, and the company expects to continue
the collaborative effort in Asia and the South Pacific later this
year.

During the CSeries AAC meetings, Bombardier provides an update
on the design and architecture of the aircraft and summarizes the
activities of the CSeries aircraft airline working groups. The
airlines and leasing companies, in turn, outline their specific
requirements for the aircraft. Recommendations are discussed at the
meetings or addressed later by the CSeries aircraft development
team. In this way, airlines and leasing companies are kept fully
involved in the customer-focused CSeries aircraft program.
Airline and leasing company representatives at the Belfast event
visited the new composite facilities where the CSeries aircraft
wings will be produced, and were updated on Bombardier's
leading-edge composites technology. Pratt & Whitney, supplier
of the PurePower PW1000G engine for the CSeries aircraft, was also
represented.
At the Montréal session, participants will be able to
explore the recently updated mockup of the CSeries aircraft, which
is located in Bombardier's new customer experience centre, and see
details of the company's new aircraft assembly facilities and
processes.
"The AAC procedure ensures that the design of the CSeries
aircraft will fulfill the expectations of airlines and leasing
companies all over the world and that the airliner will become the
most optimized solution for the 100- to 149-seat segment," said
Eric Martel, Senior Vice President, Bombardier Commercial
Aircraft.
