Mente, Embry-Riddle, Aero Law Group Flight Department Course Scheduled

Sessions To Be Held In Early June In Daytona Beach, FL

An essential course for flight department leaders and managers sponsored by Mente Group, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and Aero Law Group PC has been scheduled for June 3-7, 2019 in Daytona Beach, FL.

The syllabus will be conducted by well-qualified aviation professionals with many years of experience from the three participant organizations. The week-long learning course, entitled The Business of Business Aviation, will be conducted at the David B. O'Maley College of Business, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

The course is designed to educate aviation managers and potential managers on the intricacies of accounting, budgeting, corporate finances, and the legal and tax issues involved with aircraft acquisition and operation. "This course is a must attend for those in the industry and those breaking into the corporate flying industry," said Mente Group Vice President of Strategic Consulting Cole White, who will be an instructor for the class. "The week-long curriculum also covers aircraft selection, the transactional process and pitfalls for aircraft acquisition and disposition, and asset life-cycle management."

Other instructors include Kevin Austin, founder of Aero Law Group PC and now Of Counsel to the Bellevue, Washington aviation law firm, and Professor Bert Zarb and Associate Professor John Longshore of Embry-Riddle.
