A PAL-V vice president plans to fly around the world in his personal "flying car", though no firm date has been set to begin the attempt. PAL-V VP of sales Mark Jennings-Bates said that he plans to fly his personal aircraft on the attempt,  accompanied by a second PAL-V that will record the flight on video.

Jennings-Bates said that he hopes to depart from and return to San Francisco with the flight taking about 90 days. The company has not officially announced the attempt, but plans for the flight are reportedly well underway. Fuel management will be a critical issue for the flight, as the PAL-V Liberty has a range of about 270 nautical miles while flying. Tecnam has announced an agreement with U.S.-based commuter airline Cape Air on a delivery schedule for the first 20 of 100 Tecnam P2012 Travellers. Negotiations were concluded following an extensive review of the configuration, direct and indirect cost analysis of the P2012 by key members of both the Cape Air and Tecnam leadership teams. Gulfstream Aerospace recently celebrated the five-year anniversary of the Gulfstream G650’s type certification. Announced in March 2008, the G650 launched with more than 200 firm orders. With a nonstop range of 5,000 nautical miles at Mach 0.90 and 7,000 at Mach 0.85, the aircraft established its prominence in the bizjet market. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
