MD Helicopters Announces Sales At Heli-Expo 2007

Six Helos Delivered In Recent Weeks

They may not be quite as flashy in their presentation as Bell or Sikorsky... but MD Helicopters tells ANN they are still very much in the game, and selling a few helicopters while they're at it. The company announced sales at Heli-Expo 2007 this week from areas ranging from Hawaii, to the UK and the Czech Republic.

Company representatives tell ANN six helicopters were sold and delivered to new and returning customers in recent weeks, including an operator in the Czech Republic, who took delivery of that country’s first-ever factory-built MD520N for personal and corporate use. The aircraft is equipped with a PA system, CD player, and moving map system from a German manufacturer.

MDHI distributor Eastern Atlantic Helicopters has also ordered two MD520Ns (type shown at right) for customers in the United Kingdom, and Police Aviation Services has ordered one MD Explorer for an unnamed customer.

Jack Hutchings of Hutchings Automotive has ordered one MD Explorer for personal use in Florida. Paradise Helicopters, of Kona, Hawaii, has ordered a new MD530F to augment its existing fleet of MD500Es. The new aircraft will be used for tours and utility work in high and hot conditions.

A fleet of MD helicopters flies a range of missions worldwide, including airborne law enforcement, emergency medical service, executive transport, utility, and more.

"Our customers have loved MD products from day one," said MDHI President Chuck Vehlow. "It’s gratifying when they come back for repeat purchases, and of course we’re always pleased to announce new sales and deliveries — especially six at a time."

Based In Mesa, AZ, MD Helicopters manufacturers a range of commercial and military helicopters. The MDHI family the twin-engine MD Explorer, and single engine versions of the MD600N, MD520N, MD500E and MD530F. The NOTAR system for anti-torque control is used exclusively by MD Helicopters.
