Will Aid Planemaker In Delivering Quality Aircraft

Hawker Beechcraft Corporation announced Monday the addition of Henry Davis, Dean N. Jones and Ken Rohling to its Wichita, KS headquarters.

Henry Davis joins HBC as vice president, aircraft manufacturing and assembly. Dean Jones comes to HBC as vice president, quality compliance and performance excellence. Ken Rohling is director of Wichita flight completions and paint operations.

"As Hawker Beechcraft continues to build and deliver one of the most advanced product lineups in the industry, Ken, Dean and Henry will play integral roles in our manufacturing operations process improvement initiatives," said George Nguyen, Hawker Beechcraft senior vice president, operations.

"Their expertise and experience will help Hawker Beechcraft continue to excel as a world-class aircraft manufacturer and allow our company to stay competitive in this global marketplace."

In the newly created role of vice president, aircraft manufacturing and assembly, Davis will be responsible for manufacturing and assembly in Plants II, III and IV of HBC’s Wichita facilities. His background includes numerous operations leadership positions throughout the automotive industry, including the Torque Control Products Division of Eaton Corporation, where he was vice president and general manager.

Davis was also operations manager for Federal-Mogul Corporation, plant manager for Meritor Automotive and held several managing positions with AlliedSignal Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Yale University and a master’s in business administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Jones will also occupy a newly created position as vice president, quality compliance and performance excellence. He is responsible for manufacturing quality systems, compliance and process controls, as well as Lean and Six Sigma deployments in operations.

Jones was most recently vice president of global quality and continuous improvement for Sauer-Danfoss, where he oversaw the implementation of a company-wide quality improvement plan for 23 plants in 14 countries. He was also vice president of electronic and electrical systems development for Lear Corporation, and has served in a variety of leadership positions at United Technologies Automotive, Rockwell International and Ford Motor Company.

An accomplished pilot, Jones is a certified flight instructor, FAA Safety Team representative and a Civil Air Patrol pilot. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Oakland University in Rochester, MI and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Detroit.

Rohling joins HBC as director of flight completion and paint operations in Wichita. He is responsible for all Wichita aircraft from the time they roll off the final production line to customer delivery. He comes to HBC from Bombardier Learjet, where he was director of program management and new program development. His experience in the aircraft industry spans nearly 20 years, having held leadership positions in finance, engineering and supply chain at The Boeing Company, and as manager of supply chain management, contract administration and finance at Cessna Aircraft Company.

Rohling holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration from Wichita State University and was a Wichita Business Journal "Best 40 under 40" recipient.
