Cessna Upgrades TTx With New Surge Package, McCauley Propeller

Cessna's Top Of The Line Single Gets Premium Options

Cessna announced Monday at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh new interior and exterior enhancements for the Cessna TTx. “The TTx is our top-of-the-line aircraft in the single-engine piston product line and our customers have told us they would like additional premium options,” said Brian Steele, TTx business leader. “The TTx is already the hottest-looking aircraft on the ramp and the Surge interior and exterior package will only further enhance its presence.”

The Surge premium package includes a special paint scheme; exclusive, two-tone leather seat covers; custom-fit personalized, high-quality canopy cover and engine inlet plugs; and personalized floor and wing-walk mats.

Cessna also announced the McCauley Blackmac C447 aluminum propeller will now come standard on TTx aircraft. The McCauley Blackmac C447 aluminum propeller is the only propeller certified for operation with the recently FAA-approved Flight Into Known Icing (FIKI) package, also an option on the TTx.

“Our customers expect nothing but the best when it comes to reliability and performance,” said Steele. “With McCauley’s strong history of dependable products and the Blackmac’s solid performance, the Blackmac propeller is a natural choice for the TTx.”

The Cessna TTx is the fastest aircraft in its class and features the Garmin G2000 avionics suite with touch-screen interface, Electronic Stability and Protection System (ESP), GFC-700 autopilot, and a handcrafted interior that seats four. With a TCM TSIO-550-C six-cylinder, fuel-injected, twin-turbocharged engine with dual intercoolers, the TTx boasts a max cruise speed of 235 knots and a range of 1,250 nautical miles at economy cruise speeds.
