Upgraded: Amerijet's Montella

Cargo Industry Veteran Lou Joins Amerijet As Vice President Of Cargo Services

Cargo industry veteran Lou Montella has joined Amerijet International, Inc. as Vice President of Cargo Services, announced David Bassett, President and CEO of Amerijet.

Montella is responsible for Amerijet's cargo operations at the Miami hub facility. He is based at Amerijet's Miami hub.

"Amerijet has expanded significantly in the past couple of years, adding ocean cargo services, and expanding our route system throughout Latin America, Europe and Asia, said Bassett. "We recently increased our aircraft fleet with two additional Boeing 727s and we anticipate continued expansion. Lou Montella has the knowledge and experience to effectively manage the Miami hub, which remains the heart of our growing cargo network."

Montella has dedicated his entire professional career to the cargo industry, having joined FedEx at the age of 21. He spent 26 years with Federal Express and DHL, having most recently been responsible for DHL's largest U.S. cargo gateway at JFK International Airport. Immediately prior to joining Amerijet, Montella was VP of Airline Relations, Alliances and Supplier Development for Global Delivery Systems in New York.

Amerijet International, Inc. is a full-service multi-modal transportation and logistics provider offering international scheduled all-cargo transport via land, sea and air. Ft. Lauderdale, Florida-based Amerijet operates offices all over the world, serving destinations throughout North, South and Central America, Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Amerijet operates its own fleet of Boeing 727-200 aircraft from its primary hub at Miami International Airport, where it maintains a custom-built 210,000-square-foot air cargo handling facility and a 50,000-square-foot ocean cargo handling facility.

[E-I-C Note: Amerijet is also the partner to Zero-G Corporation's amazing Zero Gravity flights... and are some very cool folks whom we've gotten to know quite well. We recommend them highly.]
