Flight Design USA, importer of the popular Flight Design CT light sport aircraft, tells ANN it recently appointed two new regional distributors. Joining the US organization are LSA North and Hillsdale Aero.

"The appointment of these businesses reorganizes the northern Midwestern and Great Lake regions of the U.S. to better serve our customers," expressed Flight Design USA president Tom Peghiny.

LSA North is based in Lakeville, MN, a suburb of the Minnesota twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. The company is led by Kim Frizzel, Scott Caverly, and Barney Barnard. LSA North serves Flight Design customers in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North and South Dakota, plus the northern half of Illinois including the Chicago area.

Hillsdale Aero is based in Hillsdale, MI, south of Lansing and not far from the American automobile capital of Detroit. The business is operated by James Scheibner who is also the city's manager of Hillsdale municipal airport. The company serves CT customers in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio.

"We welcome LSA North and Hillsdale Aero to our distribution family," said Peghiny as he noted that this team and their dealers have built the CT into the country's most successful LSA. "We have more CTs registered than the number three, four, and five sellers of LSA combined."

Both LSA North and Hillsdale Aero have sent mechanics for extensive training as part of the Flight Design "One Step Ahead" program that thoroughly trains their service organization participants in addition to putting them through qualification and recertification testing.

Flight Design reports nearly 1,000 aircraft delivered since the CT's introduction in 1997. Approximately 175 CTs have been registered as special light-sport aircraft in the USA.
