Classes And Engine Maintenance Offered
California Power Systems, the only West Coast Rotax Training
Center, has recently completed an entirely new training and
maintenance facility. The newly constructed 600+ square foot
classroom was designed especially for advanced Rotax Training at
CPS's Oakland North Field facility.
The new facility is equipped with wireless internet, large
screen LCD TV Monitor for slide show and video presentations,
built-in audio system, clean room assembly area, climate control,
and dedicated food service area. Facilities are designed for
students to do hands-on work on both an actual aircraft as well as
full teardown and reassembly of a Rotax engine. A few steps outside
the classroom a working aircraft offers every student the
opportunity to perform most any service or maintenance operation on
a running powerplant.
Easy Connections: Most major airlines connect to OAK, allowing
CPS easy travel connections for students coming from anywhere,
domestically or internationally.
Business Partner Hotel: The Holiday Inn Express - Oakland
Airport offers special discounted room rates for CPS students. A
free shuttle is available on call for local transport, reducing the
need for a rental car. A full complimentary Breakfast is
served from 6 to 9am daily.
CPS classes are scheduled for February 10-19, 2010 when all four
segments will be conducted: Two Cycles, 912 Service, 912
Maintenance, and 912 Heavy Maintenance.
For previous students that want to stay current on the 2 year
limit, a special one day refresher class is going to be held on
Friday February 19, 2010 at the North Field location. This will
fulfill the Rotax requirements for 2 year update and will include
reissuing of all current badge holders.
