Lee Aerospace Receives FAA PMA Approval For New Coolview Windows On Beechjet

Will Be Offering Window Services At Oshkosh

Known for their innovation in aviation transparencies, Lee Aerospace is gaining recognition for their CoolView window technology. Lee Aerospace has just earned Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) for the side cockpit windows on Beechjet 400, 400A and 400T. “The interest in CoolView has been overwhelming. I think as a follow-on to the previous PMA’s we have in the aftermarket, pilots and passengers alike are specifically asking for this technology on their aircraft which has given us a long list of projects to work on this year,” said Joel Weber, Lee Aerospace Chief Engineer. “We are known for responding to our customers’ needs and solving their issues. The CoolView technology has been a game changer in the industry and actually originated from a customer need.”

Celebrating his 30th Anniversary as president and CEO of Lee Aerospace, Jim Lee had the vision for this technology years ago and knew that once he could bring it to market, CoolView would be a hit. “We have taken Lee Aerospace through a number of phases over the past 30 years--from simple air gap windows, to laminated windows with complex curves and window assemblies,” he explains. “Now we are moving into some really exciting programs that incorporate our newest technology, not only in the cabin and side cockpit windows, but also in our upcoming forward-facing, heated glass programs—and CoolView will be an option on all of them.”

As OEM to a number of major aircraft manufacturers, Lee Aerospace does not intend to let the transparency market go unnoticed. Lee Aerospace will be presenting the CoolView technology at EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin next month. “We have something new planned for Oshkosh this year,” Lee added. “In addition to having our newest CoolView technology on display in one of the King Air C90 aircraft in operation, which will be on site to view, we will also be offering window polishing at AirVenture.”

Lee Aerospace has been named an authorized service provider for EAA AirVenture attendees who would like to have their aircraft windows polished while taking in the sights at Oshkosh this year. “This is the first year we are offering the window polishing services at Oshkosh,” says Lee. “We will have a mobile team of our experienced technicians right there at the show. Who wouldn’t want to have their windows polished and ready for take off from Wittman at the end of the week?”

You can find Lee Aerospace at this year’s EAA AirVenture in the outdoor main aircraft exhibit area. They will have the CoolView technology on display, cabin and cockpit windows, on a King Air C90 next to their exhibit for attendees to view and experience.
