AES/V Aircraft Engines Is Lead Sponsor For ANN's '05 AirVenture Special Coverage

AES/V Aircraft Engines Steps Up As Lead Sponsor For ANN's 2005 Special AirVenture Coverage

ANN has been onsite in Oshkosh, WI, for several days already preparing for what we hope will be the best "Big O" in recent memory.

ANN Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell, arrived late Monday and started getting our command center (a large portable office building) positioned, got the electrical system installed and (miracle of miracles) has gotten our computer system and high speed access set-up so the BIGGEST (and some say, weirdest...) crew ANN has EVER fielded for this event can do it's stuff with the advantage of immediate access to great facilities and a professional place to work in cool comfort.

We've already started filing early reports right from Wittman Field, and look forward to giving you the straight skinny on what excitement you might expect over the next few weeks.

It's going to be our most extensive and impressive effort, to date... and our most expensive. As a result, we're pleased to start filling you in on the ten companies who stepped up to the plate to help us make sure that the aviation world benefited from the expert coverage that only ANN can provide, 24/7, every day of this year's aero-lovefest.

Tonight, and over the next few nights, we'll fill you in on who made this effort possible and start off tonight's announcements with the unveiling of the LEAD SPONSOR (Drum Roll, Please)... AES/V Aircraft Engines.

We've been blown away by the new V300T Aero-V6... unaware that any powerplant with pistons could run as smoothly or as quietly as the prototype is ALREADY doing. We've never flown anything smoother that wasn't burning jet fuel... and were particularly impressed by the unusually fuel economy of this powerful engine.

ANN's Jim Campbell noted that, "Initial fuel readings were an eye opener... with a solid 75% percent of rated power in use, the Super Rebel was consuming 11.0-11.2 GPH... if these numbers hold (with truly equivalent power to other 300 HP mills), this kind of consumption is going to win some new friends... especially when gassing up from the much cheaper MoGas pump (and by the way, you CAN mix and match MoGas and AvGas in the same tanks... no sweat)."

The VAircraft Engines display is located in Oshkosh booths 273, 274

Stay tuned to ANN to get the inside details as more information become available. Take my word for it... this is an engine program that you're going to be hearing A LOT about over the next few years and represents the biggest excitement to hit piston engine development in over a decade. Hence, we are SO pleased to welcome AES/V Aircraft Engines as ANN's Lead Sponsor for our 2005 Coverage of the EAA AirVenture Fly-In.

Please support our generous sponsors as they support our efforts to keep you up to date on one of the aviation world's most exciting events.
