Hazard Avoidance Packages Deliver State-of-the-Art Weather,
Active Traffic Alerting, Terrain and Situational Awareness Tools at
Increased Savings
In addition to a number of other breaking stories, Avidyne
Corporation has also introduced its MHAS6000 Multi-Hazard
Avoidance Systems for general aviation (GA) aircraft. The MHAS6000
system, comprised of Avidyne's FlightMax® EX500 multi-function
display and Avidyne's new TAS600 Series traffic system, delivers
datalink weather, airborne weather radar, traffic alerting,
terrain, obstacles and moving map capability at savings of up to
$4,500. MHAS6000 systems make it affordable for more GA pilots to
add important state-of-the-art tools for safe flying to their
cockpits.
"Avidyne MHAS systems integrate the most important tools for
hazard avoidance into affordable packages," said Mark Sandeen,
Avidyne's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "The value of the
MHAS6000 goes beyond price to performance. The industy-leading
EX500's ability to interface with any of nineteen different radar
systems, along with the major benefits of an active traffic
advisory system make it the superior choice for aircraft owners
looking to upgrade their aircraft with an advanced safety system.
Combined with the safety benefits of XM weather and optional EGPWS
and CMax, the MHAS6000 is the most useful and cost-effective
addition to the GA cockpit available today."
"Avidyne continues to put advanced and affordable safety tools
into the hands of more GA pilots," said Avidyne President Dan
Schwinn. "The MHAS6000 series expands Avidyne's presence in the
retrofit market for the existing GA fleet."
