Frasca Delivers First Grob FTD In Long Term Contract

Utilizes Original Aircraft Parts, Meets EASA Level 2 Requirements

Grob Aircraft AG, Mattsies/Germany has taken delivery of the first of several 120TP-SIM Flight Training Devices (FTDs) from Frasca International, Urbana, IL as part of a Long Term Supply Agreement (LTSA).  The FTD has been delivered to the Grob factory in Germany.

The FTD’s utilize original aircraft parts providing the highest fidelity physical representation of the aircraft hardware and are manufactured to be capable of meeting the requirements of FAA Level 6 or EASA Level 2. The Grob G 120TP-SIM FTD offers multipurpose training tasks – starting with screening activities during the contact flying phase and proceeding up to advanced flight training in order to prepare every student – rookie or professional – in combination with and in addition to real aircraft training as best as possible.

The first six orders placed under the LTSA are nearing completion, which will result in G 120TP FTDs being delivered to the Myanmar Air Force and the Mexican Air Force, with an additional FTD for use by Grob Aircraft own in-house  training system.

Frasca provides flight simulation equipment for several military flight training organizations wordwide and is currently building a Bell 212 FTD for an undisclosed customer.
