SUBJECT: Airworthiness Directive 2012-18-16
ACTION: Final Rule
SUMMARY: This AD was prompted by reports of direct current (DC) generator overvoltage events. This AD requires replacing the auxiliary power unit (APU) generator control unit (GCU).
The FAA is issuing this AD to prevent DC generator overvoltage events, which could result in smoke in the cockpit and loss of avionics and electrical systems.
DATES: This AD is effective October 24, 2012.
