MD Helicopters Names Authorized Service Center In Malaysia

CTRM Aviation Will Service Malaysian Fleet Of MD 530G Light Scout Attack Helicopters

In partnership with Malaysia-based Halaman Optima Sdn Bhd, MD Helicopters has named CTRM Aviation the exclusive Authorized Service Center supporting the company’s ASEAN military segment.

Specifically, the contract is awarded for the support of the first six (6) MD 530G Light Attack Helicopters to be put into service with the Malaysian Army Aviation Regiment.

MD Helicopters has a legacy of providing comprehensive end-to-end support for its growing global fleet of military and commercial customers. With this announcement, MDHI is demonstrating its commitment to not only to delivering the enhanced aerial fires capability and mission flexibility required by the Malaysian Army, but to advancing indigenous capabilities regarding long-term service, support and effective operation of the fleet.

CTRM Aviation (AV) is one of the leading Aerospace Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul outfits in Malaysia. With capabilities driven by decades of experience, a highly specialized workforce and numerous Original Equipment Manufacturers accreditation, the certification of CTRM AV includes Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO), Authorized Engineering Organization (AEO), FAA Part 145 and countless other certifications for both military and civilian aircraft from Directorate General Technical Airworthiness (DGTA), Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) and foreign certification authority.

The CTRM Group of companies was established by the Malaysian Government in the middle of 1990s to spearhead the aerospace development of the country. In 2013, CTRM Group was acquired by DRB-Hicom Defence Technologies (DEFTECH), a fully-owned subsidiary of DRB-Hicom a diversified conglomerate in Malaysia.
