Texan Flight School Grows Fleet by a Dozen Pipers in 2022, with More on the Way
Thrust Flight has received 5 brand new Piper Archer TXs, bringing their 2022 additions to a dozen aircraft in all.
The school will continue their roll with 8 more Archers next year, allowing their Texan training facilities to entice prospective students with brand-new, low-wing aircraft and year-round flying weather (or, perhaps most important for summer lessons - the Archers boast air conditioning). The school made the best of the aircraft handover, shipping out a handful of its "Zero Time to Airline" students and instructors to ferry the planes from Piper's factory in Vero Beach, Florida to the school's home in Addison, Texas.
Thrust Flight has opted for the Archer TX, outfitted with what's quickly become the standard for new-production training aircraft, like full glass panel avionics, wifi data link, satellite weather, traffic advisory, and autopilot. Perhaps best of all for the kids sweltering in the hot Texan summer, the Archer TXs bound for Thrust Flight are equipped with air conditioning. The Archer has long been the prime competitor to the Skyhawk’s unending domination of the GA training scene, and its TX trim has efficiently homed in on exactly what schools want in an aircraft: An attractive, modern cockpit and handsome ramp appearance. Once inside, students will love the accouterments included with the modern avionics suite - at least, if their instructor allows them.
“We’re thrilled to receive another batch of Piper Archers for our students,” said Ray Lamas, president of Thrust Flight. “These aircraft have been phenomenal thus far and give our students the opportunity to train in one of the best training aircraft available today.”
