Wipaire To Outfit New Mission Aviation Fellowship Aircraft

Wipline 8750 Amphibious Floats To Be Installed At South St. Paul Facility

Wipaire, Inc. is pleased to announce that Mission Aviation Fellowship International (MAF I) has selected Wipline 8750 floats and Wipaire’s single-point fueling system to outfit the organization’s latest aircraft. The new Cessna 208 Caravan is slated to serve in Bangladesh, where MAF flies over 70 organizations bringing health, hope and healing to some of the most vulnerable and remote communities in the world.

The aircraft will be delivered to Wipaire’s South St. Paul, Minnesota headquarters to be fitted with Wipline 8750 amphibious floats for unparalleled flexibility in destinations, single-point fuel for safe, easy fueling on floats, pitch locks for improved handling during docking and startup on floats, along with a depth finder installed by Wipaire’s avionics department, among other refinements to tailor the aircraft to MAF’s demanding mission.

“Our tradition of innovation, quality, and reliability is crafted into each set of Wipline floats we build. The Wipline 8750 provides an increased gross weight for the Caravan on floats, a necessity for the flying MAF does.  The floats also offer a robust landing gear with no landing weight limitation for short-haul flights, and a refined hull design for improved handing,” commented Clint Clouatre, Vice President of Marketing and Sales. “MAF operates in some of the most remote and challenging places in the world, making ease of maintenance and fueling key. Our single-point fueling system makes fueling faster and safer by eliminating the need for ladders and incorporating high-precision measurement controls. Wipaire’s newly introduced Laser Gear Advisory System provides enhanced safety for operations that include both water and runway landings.  Wipaire is proud to be selected as a supplier to support Mission Aviation Fellowship’s aviation services, and we’re honored that they rely on our products to conduct their essential work.”

“MAF has been dedicated to its humanitarian mission for over 70 years. Each aircraft acquisition and modification means a greater impact on remote communities around the world through our international network,” added William Nicol, Aviation Director for Mission Aviation Fellowship International. “We carefully evaluated all options for this aircraft’s purpose and determined no aircraft could better meet our needs than a Cessna Caravan on Wipline 8750 floats with pitch locks and single-point fuel. We work in some very tough areas, but we are confident in the quality and craftsmanship of Wipline floats, and we know Wipaire provides unmatched support for their products around the world, which is key for operators like MAF.”
