Vector Aerospace Signs Exclusive PT6A Service Agreement In Australia

Will Provide MRO Services For Australian Aeromedical Provider CareFlight

Vector Aerospace has entered into an exclusive agreement with CareFlight to provide the Australian aeromedical operator with Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) PT6A engine services. CareFlight, headquartered in Sydney, NSW, uses helicopters, turboprops and business jets to transfer patients from accident scenes and between hospitals.

Under the terms of the multi-year agreement, Vector will provide comprehensive engine MRO services from its P&WC PT6A Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF) in Brisbane, QLD, in support of CareFlight’s six King Air B200 aircraft, which are powered by the PT6A-42. These aircraft are customized in aeromedical configuration and operated as the ‘Top End Medical Retrieval Service’ on behalf of the Northern Territory Government, based out of Darwin, NT.

“We welcome the opportunity to continue our valued relationship with Vector,” says Derek Colenbrander, CEO of CareFlight.  "We are extremely confident that Vector will provide the engine support and service we need to ensure that we enhance our level of customer service and improve our competiveness.”

Matt Dennington, General Manager of Vector’s Brisbane facility, says that Vector is excited to be entering into the service agreement with CareFlight.  “We are confident that Vector’s repair and overhaul practices, coupled with our team of highly trained and professional people, will be of exceptional value and benefit to CareFlight,” says Dennington.

CareFlight and other operators throughout Asia Pacific also benefit from the support of Vector’s Mobile Repair Team (MRT), which is composed of 150 dedicated employees specifically focused on MRT operations globally.  The MRT operation is designed around a ‘Quick Turn Around’ and ‘Travel Ready’ philosophy to support customers' needs 24/7. The majority of Vector’s MRT professionals are licensed A&P technicians, who have either worked in a service center or as an MRT in their careers, and who on average benefit from 30+ years of experience in their field.
