Boom Technology is undertaking the bold endeavor of bringing to market a 65-88 passenger airliner capable of 4,250-nautical-miles at Mach 1.7. Named Overture, it is designed to operate at more than twice the speed of today’s airliners. What’s more, Overture intends to accomplish its feats of speed and endurance cleanly—as the aircraft’s four engines operate on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Russia, in what may or may not be a regrettable instance of fratricide, has reportedly shot down one of its own Sukhoi-34 bomber aircraft. On June 22, 2022, about 1645 eastern daylight time, a Bell UH-1B helicopter, N98F, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident in Amherstdale, West Virginia. The private pilot, two pilot rated passengers and three additional passengers were fatally injured. Security Notice (SECNOT) A SECNOT is a request originated by the Air Traffic Security Coordinator (ATSC) for an extensive communications search for aircraft involved, or suspected of being involved, in a security violation, or are considered a security risk. A SECNOT will include the aircraft identification, search area, and expiration time. The search area, as defined by the ATSC, could be a single airport, multiple airports, a radius of an airport or fix, or a route of flight.
