Otto Aviation Makes Headway on Celera

Lithe V12-Powered Private Jet Competitor Done with Phase 1 Testing

Otto Aviation has completed testing of its Celera 500L Aircraft, marking 51hours of flight time across 55 successful flights. AAMS Sues Federal Government

Say Rules Ignore Significant AirMed Variables

The Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS) has filed suit in federal court challenging interim final regulations of the No Surprises Act. They believe that aspects of the implementation of the Act as they currently stand have left them unfairly vulnerable in comparison to other entities in the insurance ecosystem, owing to the special factors air ambulance service involves. They state that they continue to support the aims of the Act, including the removal of patients from the middle of billing disputes between air ambulance providers and their patients' insurers. The point of dispute lies in the dispute resolution process, a tool meant to open negotiation between providers and insurers, where

Night Firefighter N802NZ Involved in Single Fatality Incident

A firefighting air tanker has crashed while tending to the Kruger Rock fire, with one fatality. Meant to be a historic first for the region, the aircraft was making history as the first instance of nighttime firefighting in Colorado as it sought to contain the blaze that has consumed an estimated 133 acres with 15% containment as of November 16. The Air Tractor Fire Boss went down near the south end of Hermit Park, less than 100 miles northeast of Denver, Colorado. Earlier in the morning, a small wildfire was reported in steep terrain, made worse by the localized gusts and low humidity. Multiple structures in the area were threatened by the growing blaze, leading to evacuations in the r

AD: Airbus SAS Airplanes

AD 2021-21-02 Requires Replacing Certain PMA Ni-Cd Batteries With Serviceable Ni-Cd Batteries

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus SAS Model A318, A319, A320, A321, A330-200, A330-200 Freighter, A330-300, A330-800, A330-900, A340-200, A340-300, A340-500, A340-600, and A380-800 series airplanes.
