The 2020 DeLand Sport Aviation Showcase is being rescheduled due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Officials at the DeLand Municipal Airport had hoped to continue on with the annual showcase as scheduled (Nov. 12-14, 2020) to help salvage the embattled tradeshow industry but it became increasingly apparent that the rising number of Covid-19 cases in Florida would make the event unsafe at this time for guests, exhibitors and volunteers. By Maria Morrison Stolen at 7:00. Departed by 8:00. Lost communication before 10:00. Crashed around midnight. Such was the wild night for the Cessna 150 taken from Jefferson County International Airport in Port Townsend, WA and crashed near the coast of Washington, roughly 150 miles away. ISS Crew Looking For Leaks

Crew Spending Weekend in Station’s Russian Segment

The three Expedition 63 crew members living aboard the International Space Station will spend the weekend inside the orbiting lab’s Russian segment. Commander Chris Cassidy and his crewmates Ivan Vagner and Anatoly Ivanishin will stay in the Zvezda service module from Friday night into Monday morning. The station’s atmosphere is maintained at pressure comfortable for the crew members, and a tiny bit of that air leaks over time, requiring routine repressurization from nitrogen tanks delivered on cargo resupply missions. In September 2019, NASA and its international partners first saw indications of a slight increase above the standard cabin air leak rate.

Altitude Could Not Be Maintained And The Airplane Descended To The Ground

On August 2, 2020, about 1010 central daylight time, a Piper PA-30, N7750Y, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident at Shelby County Airport (EET), Alabaster, Alabama. The flight instructor and student pilot were not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 instructional flight. The flight instructor reported that he was providing instruction to a commercial pilot for a multiengine rating. They briefed the procedures for a simulated short field takeoff. AD 2020-16-16 Due To Unsafe Condition As The Outer Race Of Bearing Migrating Out Of The Aileron Pivot Fork

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Pacific Aerospace Limited Model 750XL airplanes. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by the aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as the outer race of bearing migrating out of the aileron pivot fork on the control column. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. This AD is effective September 7, 2020.
