Airborne 03.08.19: TBM 940 Unveiled, ForeFlight Acquired, PAL-V Production Model

Daher has unveiled their highly automated TBM 940, raising the bar, significantly, with the integration of an autothrottle and automatic deicing system. The 940 succeeds the current TBM 930 as their upper-end product. The standout TBM 940 feature is an autothrottle – reportedly the first installed on this category. Fully integrated with its autopilot, the single lever autothrottle automatically adjusts the aircraft’s speeds based on the preset flight profile, while engine parameters are displayed via a single ‘smart’ gauge.
