The carrier that became Spirit Airlines started out in Detroit
some 27 years ago... but this week, the airline announced
significant reductions to its presence in the Motor City.
Lockheed Martin Corp. -- ever-sensitive to any whisper of

largest of six course corrections planned during the spacecraft's
flight from Earth to Mars.
China continues to push forward with its ambitious space

state media reported Chinese space officials plan to map "every
inch" of the lunar surface, before pursuing more ambitious
projects.
Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 41 on Naval Station
North Island was given the first MH-60R (Romeo) Tactical
Operational Flight Trainer 2 (TOFT 2) Aug. 3. As soon as the
simulator doors opened, HSM-41 pilots and air crewmen immediately
began training with the TOFT 2.
Agency's NextGen Manned Space Program Comes Together
NASA has signed a $1.8 billion contract with Alliant
Techsystems, known as ATK, located near Brigham City, UT for the
design, development, testing, and evaluation of the first stage of
the Ares I and Ares V launch vehicles.
