But Association President Warns That There Are Many Hurdles To
Be Overcome
Reno Air Racing Association president Mike Houghton said
Wednesday that the organization's objective is to have a full air
race event in 2012, but that there is still a great deal of work to
be done.The announcement answers a question that has been hanging
over the event for months, since a tragic accident at the 2011 race
killed pilot Jimmy Leeward and 10 others watching the race.
More Than 25 Aircraft Expected To Brave The Wisconsin
Winter
One of the area’s most colorful events of the season, the
annual EAA Skiplane Fly-In, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 21, at
the EAA AirVenture Museum’s Pioneer Airport in Oshkosh. In
past years, more than 25 skiplanes landed at Pioneer Airport to
participate in the event, showcasing this unique segment of flight
that is quite popular throughout many parts of North America.
