The U.S. Army is in the process of crafting an integrated
approach to aircraft survivability that combines input from
multiple on-board sensors and uses that information to detect,
track and defeat incoming enemy fire.

Upgraded Desert Hawks - hand-launched, remote-controlled
surveillance aircraft which can record video footage day and night,
sending it directly to troops on the ground - arrived in
Afghanistan over the weekend.
Boeing has partnered with ProActive Technologies LLC of Orlando,
FL, in submitting a proposal for the U.S. Air Force's B-52 Training
System Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) program.
The U.S. Coast Guard has awarded prime contractor EADS North
America a $117 million contract for three HC-144A Ocean Sentry
Maritime Patrol Aircraft, with options for up to six more aircraft
