The A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT), on which the
Northrop Grumman KC-45 Tanker is based, has further solidified its
position as a leading advanced aerial refueling platform with an
order from Saudi Arabia for three additional aircraft, doubling the
original purchase.
Company Says There Are No Quality Issues With Engines Already
Delivered
Pratt & Whitney, issued the following statement Thursday on
the progress of the Pratt & Whitney F135 engine program:
“The F135 engine being developed by Pratt & Whitney has
experienced some cost growth and production issues consistent with
new engine programs at this stage of development and transition to
production."
