Missions Include Convoy Overwatch, Recon, Troop Movements
Upgraded British Army Lynx Mk9A helicopters have arrived
for use in Afghanistan after being shipped from the UK, and are
already being put to good use.
The first aircraft developed under the Global Observer Joint
Capability Technology Demonstration (JCTD) program has successfully
completed key ground tests in preparation for flight testing.
The German government has suspended its purchase of 80
Eurocopter Tiger attack helicopters because the aircraft already
delivered have extensive wiring problems, and are configured to an
early specification which has since changed.
Japanese Pilots Training For A Red Flag Alaska Exercise
Japanese and U.S. airmen are working together to certify about
20 Japanese Air Self Defense Force pilots in day and night air
refueling at Kadena Air Base in Japan. Airmen at Kadena have been
training JASDF F-15 Eagle pilots since 2003.
