Personnel from the Navy Unmanned Combat Air System (N-UCAS)
program team and industry partner Northrop Grumman Corporation are
underway with USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) to test the X-47B
Unmanned Combat Air System Demonstration (UCAS-D).
Piloted by Lockheed Martin F-35 Test Pilot Jeff Knowles, the
third F-35B Lightning II short takeoff/vertical landing (STOVL)
stealth fighter landed at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD,
Wednesday.
